by Sean T. on So I figured I would check this place out for dinner. Good music, atmosphere, excellent service, and an overall pleasant experience. If not for the long wait even with a reservation this place would get five stars. The mushrooms rock!
by jen l. on absolutely my favorite place to hear amazing music. they have a stellar new sound system and super nice bartenders...the ambiance is warm and cozy and the drinks are good. there are a lot of good parties happening here. so happy it's back open..great for dancing and celebrating being alive in sf!
by Robbyn Newcombe on I heart bOb too! My friend introduced me to bOb's in '03. We used to go there 3 times a week. We would go through bOb withdrawal if we haven't been in 3 days. Sometimes it's a crazy night of nonstop carefree dancing. Sometimes we'll just sit there, feel the music, and people watch for 4 hours. They've changed their DJs around, and the vibe is slightly different than before (or maybe I'm just growing out of bOb's? NOOoooo!) - but we still have good times there nonetheless. Was there twice last week and witnessed my friend from Costa Rica hump the floor to reggae. It was awesome. For the most part, $5 cover if you're a guy or if the bouncer doesn't know you. Weekends get crazy packed - beware of unintentional (but mostly intentional) bumping and grinding.
