by Bettyann Semidey on Did you hear that dramatic explosion filmed from several angles played in slow motion three times? That was my brain exploding. I wish SD had places as cool as this. The place is so enormous you are sure to lose track of your friends and make some new ones in the process. Twelve new friends, to be exact. Yes it was an amazing time. Roger Shah was guest DJ, and it was a white party. Needless to say, my white clothing had a brownish tint from the knee down after dancing from 9 pm to 4 am pretty much non-stop. Non-stop including bathroom breaks. Picture it. Watch your step.
by Shannon Coughlan on I came here for my friend's bachelorette party and while I had a great time with my friends, this place was an overall disaster. My number one annoyance, and I don't think I'll be able to ever get over this, is that every time someone drops a glass on the floor and it breaks, no one does anything. By the end of the night there was so much broken glass on the floor I was thanking God I wore closed-toed shoes. It just seems totally irresponsible, but also makes the bar seem WAY less classy. Yes, please pay a ridiculous cover to come dance on broken glass all night... Also, there is nowhere to sit down unless you have a table reserved. This is also annoying to me due to the fact that like any other typical girl, I tend to wear uncomfortable shoes when I go out. One might say this is my own fault, but I refuse to blame myself. Clubs, especially ones that are trying to be as cool as Slide, should have some kind of seating area that you don't need bottle service to sit at. It should be a law, to be honest. The bouncers and bartenders are really unfriendly, it gets packed, hot, and stuffy, and it's definitely not a cheap night out, but I still give this place two stars because I did have fun with my friends, and I did like the music. I just don't think I'll come back.
by Janney B. on Brought my bubbly bubblebutt to the bubble lounge for some Brut. Definitely drank the delicious drinks down. Guess girls galliantly gulp (guzzle?) good.. ...stuff. Somehow, someone somewhere set Scharmsberg (sp?) at sixteen bucks a sip. Whoops! Well worthwhile really. Reckon I'll return regularly.
