Trudy's is always a go to spot when I have friends coming into town. Of course, you have to get the mexican martinis. They are a bit on the pricey side but you get a whole shaker full, so I think it's not ridiculously priced. The best day to go obviously on Mondays when they have $5 mexican martinis. Everytime I go I always order the same thing. Start off with some queso especial and as an entree I go for the spiced chicken enchiladas with suiza sauce. It's cheap and delicious!! I have recently discovered a new favorite appetizer but I usually order it for my meal, the zingo nachos. They come with shrimp, refried black beans, lots and lots of a couple different kinds of cheeses, pico, guac, and mango salsa. It's a good sharing appetizer, but it's soooo good that I don't like to share, which is why I just get it as my entree.

I really have no good excuse for waiting this long to review bOb. Maybe it's because I'm so inebriated by fun that I just can't get it together the next day. bOb is awesome. I've gone to my share of lounges, dives, clubs, and dance spots in this fabulous city and bOb is always where I wish I'd gone instead. The music is ALWAYS good--old and new hip hop, reggae and dancehall, and some R&B mixed in. Crowd is diverse in race, sexual orientation, age, and style and they're all happy. Drinks from the adorable bartenders are reasonably priced and hit the spot. I LOVE bOb and THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT. They only lose a star for being so damn cool that they're always packed to the damn brim. Owner tells me they're opening a new spot in Williamsburg...

Love this place. We were there for the mason jennings show and it was amazing. Cool venue, cheap coat check, cash only, standing room plus lots of tables, best of all worlds. I had a blast, highly recommend it.
