by Mlle. Black Betty w. on Been here a couple times because a friend who is in a band has had some gigs here. Place is pretty lame. It's never packed...but you have to wait outside forever in order to get in. Both times the band would start late cause they couldn't get in early to set up. And then we had to wait outside- wouldn't they get more business if we were inside buying drinks? The drinks are mediocre. The bartenders are not very bright and don't mix very well. It's not a good night spot. Go somewhere else instead if you don't want to be bored to tears.
by Le D. on This place does not disappoint. Happy hour is fantastic, especially if you're able to sit in front of the fireplace. It has an old San Francisco feel and beautiful decor. The staff is attentive (exception: one time we went and they seemed to be short staffed and was taking a while with our order but they actually placed the dozen oysters on the house for that) and friendly. The food is AMAZING. Unlike other $1 oyster places, this place has real food on the menu. The risotto is the creamiest I've ever had, everyone should def try it at least once.
by Buffy Kayler on Cielo is every bit as good as the other reviewers said it is. We waited in line for about ten minutes. We (two guys and two girls) got in with no problem but the people behind us (three guys, four girls) were told they needed to get a table, which was weird. Anyway, it is by far my new favorite club. The music itself was amazing, as was the sound system. Bartenders were prompt and courteous. The crowd is certainly different from that of the 27th St. clubs; there's more emphasis on dancing and having fun than on getting wasted and laid. We were there for like three hours. I can't wait to go back.
