Candle Bar what an experience, I love this place but I would love it more if there were people my age there. When I went with a friend, the bartender was nice and talkative. The drinks were reasonable. The music was ok, there was a juke box. The pool table costed a dollar to play. I wasn't happy with the crowd though, they were older than us and we ended up leaving.

This restaurant and music venue exceeded all expectations. The food was FANTASTIC and that's an understatement. We started with great cocktails and then a broccoli rabe salad, which blew us away. My husband had the coffee crusted pork loin and I had the steak. We both had different versions of french fries and sweet potatoe fries. Portions were really generous which is a raretity in San Francisco. Well worth the price, which was reasonable. The house "barrel" zinfandel by the glass was amazing. The service staff from the waiter to the bus person were really attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Then the music! CALLING ALL SALZEROS !!! Colombia y Panama have fantastic classic recordings of salsa and cumbia from the 60s and 70s. I would recommend this restaurant and venue to anyone.

This place is huge. I wonder if they do private events? If so, this would be an ideal place, especially with the rooftop bar. But as a normal place to go on the weekends with friends to have drinks, I'd say no go. Took me almost an hour to get to the bar to get a round of shots on the top floor. I did meet a really hot guy while we were both waiting in frustration and we both bounced over to Marquee (reviewing that place next.) I'll break out into an Amy Winehouse parody now... "They try to make me go to PARK and I say NO NO NO. Yes I need a drink, but not as much as you think. So let's not GO GO GO."
