This was the first time I've been to National Mechanics. My first impression was that the setup was more like a restaurant than a bar. I'm guessing this place must be a hoppin bar on the weekend? The music definitely dictated the party-goers to stay and dance all night. It was a nice change of pace from just coming from Sugar Mom's.

Really good happy hour. Great variety of yummy $5 martinis. Half off on already reasonable appetizers. And finally, very friendly worker bees.

getting into the parking lot is a pain in the first place, and then u have to take the escalator from the very bottom to the very top in ur heals, wait in line unless you pay for vip, and it's overly crowded once you get inside. other than that, i liked the patio upstairs where it was a different atmosphere.
