21st floor of the Sir Francis Drake hotel? The venue is stellar overlooking San Francisco. I arrived on a Wednesday night and it was rammed! The crowd was decent as well as the staff. The decor was nice but nothing too crazy. All in all, Starlight didn't really standout to me as I thought it attempted to (I'm that hard to impress). It deserves a 3.5 with the potential of being a true 4 star but hey, what else do you expect to find on a Wednesday night? I would definitely come back here the next time I visit San Francisco though

I split my review for this place into 2 parts: RESTAURANT AND BAR Nice. I'd give it a 4. The bar has great drinks, perhaps on the pricey side for Glendale, but really tasty. I went for drinks at the bar, and they have anything alcoholic imaginable. The bartender was quite friendly, and concocted us a couple of blueberry martinis. YUM. The restaurant is quite nice. The service is slow for American standards, but if you're going for a relaxed dinner with friends, then it's no problem. Again, it's a bit pricey, but quite tasty. It's more than Asian fusion, it's more like World Fusion, if there is such a thing, because it seems like every content was represented in some fashion on the menu. CLUB Boooooooooo. I give it 1 star. If you are there for dinner, they let you into the club for free (as they should, after you just shelled out perhaps $60 per person). So, you get in early enough so you can get a place to sit, perhaps out on the patio on one of those huge couch things. But the atmosphere was, well, lame. NOT MY THING.

Tao. You walk in, the lighting and background music set a smooth ambiance. You're greeted by goodlooking (but snooty) employees. There's usually a wait, but the bar by the entrance can help pass the time. The food is pretty expensive, but really really good. Our server was on point, but our busboy was a lurker! I wouldn't recommend this spot for a parties over four because the busy-ness going on around us made it hard to hold a group conversation. Overall, I like this place, but I'm not sure if the priceyness and pretentious patrons are worth it. However, four star restaurants do have a rep to keep. Check it if you can put up with what this entails.
