by Wiley Lofland on As of October 12th, The Endup will no longer be hosting the legendary Fag Fridays night. That is a damn shame because whenever I found myself on a Friday night needing an instant mood lift, there was no other place I wanted to be than sweating it out on the dancefloor with David Harness. The Endup still has Super Soul Sundayz with David Harness on Sunday nights. It's a much more chill version of Fag Fridays. Still same sweaty dancefloor. On big three-day weekeneds, David brings in guests like Little Louie Vega and Frankie Knuckles. Still the best house music around in the city, in my opinion. Besides, this is the place you always "end up" after a long night....catch my drift? Look for the buddha on the roof outside on the patio.
by lisa v. on As the saying goes "If u end up at the Endup you're fucked up". I couldn't decide between 1 star or 5. Usually when I've been there I'm seeing stars so I went with 5!!!
by Sandy R. on This quintessential L.A. landmark is a definite must see! If these theater walls could talk . . . . . . . . . Just think from when the doors first opened, back in 1926 through today, this stage has hosted the likes of Judy Garland and Little Richard (to name a few). Vaudeville, films, television, plays, music, comedy, etc. it all took place at this magnificent venue. The piano organ is an amazing sight to behold and a musical treat for the ears. Like nothing else I have heard and/or experienced! Great acoustics. Considering the fact L.A. has very few landmarks still standing, this place embodies it all. Class, history and excitement. As a native Angeleno, this is one place that YOU must see and experience for yourselves.
