Awesome spot, I totally dug all the different areas/rooms with different music. Drinks were good, and the crowd was good too. It was a little empty at first, but that was remedied quickly! I love that they have an outdoor area, and all the different rooms you can go running around to. definitely fun to be able to jump around without changing venues.

The ethiopian food and the dining area is a good three star experience. My review if for the club in the back. A couple of weeks ago, I went here on a date and saw an awesome acid jazz band. I will review the band some other time, but I loved the venue. The space was really great, and reminded me of a couple of nice jazz bars that I know in Memphis, New Orleans and Mobile. The space probably holds about 100 people, has small 2-4 person tables scattered throughout the floor, and every seat is within 30-40 ft of the stage. You really feel like you are interacting with the band, the way jazz was meant to be. The room has a nice open faced brick wall that gives you that guttereal jazz feeling. The bar is long, mahogany like with a huge mirror behind that give you that 20-30s art deco kind of feel. There is also a New Orleans style balcony to sit and watch the show if the place is more crowded. I really dug this space, was digging the band and felt comfortable and sophisticated, yet challenged and searching while here.. This place oozes jazz and I love jazz.

This review is of the Zen Compound, just a wee part of the Temple Night Club. Why this floor is amazing: 1. giant square hole in the ground filled with mini-beanbags 2. white leather couches lining the wall (two men passed out on them in the exact same position added to the decor as well) 3. a shower in the bathroom 4. stripper dance pole in the middle of the floor 5. back room with a red ball light thingy that made the room look cool 6. surf movies projected on random walls 8. pool table 7. More nooks and crannies than I could explore The private party I attended rapidly turned into a crazy awesome dance party and I enjoyed every second of it. Great job, Julietta!!!
