by Luke Marinero on For gay guys, there is no other place to be on Sunday night. Great crowd, amazing energy. Really great space, with lots of places to wander around to. It can be "circuit-y" but the flirting is fun, and the music is great. Plus, no cover (though watch out, they make it up in drink prices where two basic vodka & sodas will set you back $25 with tip)! The lines are long, so get there early if you don't like waiting (e.g., before 11 pm)
by Sarah R. on This is a cool spot to check out small shows. I went last night for the first time to see LA-based Bitter:Sweet - only $10. It was great to hang in the back on the velvet couches drinking with friends before the show started. One pro is that the drinks are super strong, which is rare for a music venue. I love small venues for shows because it's such a more personal, intimate experience, and Du Nord fits the bill fo sho. I'll be back. A friend said a lot of nights the cover is only $5, so even if you aren't coming specifically for the show it would be worth coming down for a drink to hear some live music!
