It's a fun club. The line can be a little long. And i think they try to "hold" it so people HAVE TO pay. Music is good, though. Play mostly hip hop and trance.

LOVE this place. It's a hole in the wall, cheap drinks, great music, and amazing fun. It's for the simple folks, no frills, a place where you can wear jeans and converse shoes and fit right in. For a fun, casual, dancing night out, this is the place to goooooo!

When I was just a Cal student, I always came to SF not knowing what was up in that building with the star on top. Well last Friday I finally figured it out. The Starlight room! There's a $5 cover charge, the music is loud (you can hear it from the elevator), and the crowd is a little bit older (there were some old, 35ish men on the dance floor... grooving to the sounds of kmel). Buuuutt....there was a beautiful view!! The sky was clear and lovely.. lights of the city just calling.. So we had to walk around looking for a table. They all said reserved but no one really came to sit there. Hmm.......reserved for.... just in case?? Hahah.. some of the older people were kind of dressed more swanky.. but then again it probably is for the older crowd. Ok so the drinks.. they're about $10 for a drink. They are made a little stronger though, so if you're into the fruity stuff... don't come here. Since the music is so loud you can't really have a conversation around here. When the place is about ready to close, they turn on alllll the lights and the place becomes super bright. Then they play church organ music... basically telling you to leave. The place is alright, it was an interesting experience. At least I know now what it is...maybe I'll enjoy it more when I'm 40.
