I'm partial to bread with garlicy olive oil, so The Latest Dish had me at hello. I went here with two friends. We devoured the bread + oil and ordered the fondue as an appetizer. I was slightly disappointed in the fondue, but maybe I'm just not into that type of thing. The asparagus was my favorite to dip into the cheese. Amazing. My one friend ordered the hummus and pita. It was phenominal. I, of course, had the steak and made the horrible decision of asking for a side of mashed potatoes in addition the potatoes they already give you. It was too filling for me, but that's all my fault. I must have been malnourished on this particular day, because I recall having about five refills on my drink, and our server didn't miss a beat. My other friend had the salmon and soup (I can't remember which one) and from what I tasted, both were great, too. I'll definitely be back.

Maybe I'd have had more fun if I was straight. Or brain dead. I went with my roommates (a str8 couple) on a weekend night and they loved it. I however, wanted to scoot slowly to my death on their modular furniture. I'm not gay-club exclusive. By no means! But when some asshat in chinos and a button-down told me I "should smile more" I wanted to bash my head into my overpriced cheese plate. Furthermore, the waitress double charged my roommate and I, which we didn't figure out until the next day. And can anyone explain what is up with that wierd gap in the bathroom sink--anyone else get the urge to stick their hand through? Feels like a place that is trying really hard to be "uber" cool (like, so cool its not cool, but we all know it desperately wants to be cool?). Filled with people who think they're hot stuff for being inside rather than outside in the line. All in all, over-rated, loud, "scene"y and full of dudes lookin' to get sucked. Pass!

For gay guys, there is no other place to be on Sunday night. Great crowd, amazing energy. Really great space, with lots of places to wander around to. It can be "circuit-y" but the flirting is fun, and the music is great. Plus, no cover (though watch out, they make it up in drink prices where two basic vodka & sodas will set you back $25 with tip)! The lines are long, so get there early if you don't like waiting (e.g., before 11 pm)
