Had they grilled a tender slice of my righteousness to juicy perfection, I may not have been so pissed off about being a haughty vegetarian this particular night. I'm not typically a gal who's swayed any which way by the aroma of body parts grilling, but if you closed your eyes and followed your nose to the best smell in miles, you'd either find yourself in my arms or on Zahav's doorstep. The big, open room feels a little like a lunchroom post- extreme makeover, but while it's not exactly cozy, it's pretty, and it's undeniably fun to peek at the other tables. Our server was a little awkward, but you could tell he meant well, and everyone who had a hand in bringing the food out was incredibly nice and accommodating. I'd drop serious money for the hummus + laffa alone, I wish I was curled up next to it on the couch right now. I loved the greasy flatbread (it had a proper name, too, but it escapes me), the fried cauliflower came swimming in a tzatziki sauce that was marvelous, and my galil skewer (eggplant with a creamy onion on the side) was pretty superb, too. My companions enjoyed plate after plate of various animal parts, and while I didn't partake, I was dazzled by the craftsmanship alone. If you've got some money to burn on something great, you should grill it up right at Zahav - why za-hell not?

Egh, I guess it was alright. I mean...I'm asian and all but didn't like the vibe. It had a better mix of asians and others than China club(which I will NEVER go back to) but I, for some reason, feel out of place in a pool os asians. Its a little wayy too big and pricey for an "okay" Dj. Decor is nice. Go with a big group. Not a place to go with 2 - 5. Go with a large one since its too big and you feel like a fish in the ocean. Beers $7 shots are $11. Pricey side.

This review is based on the Grilled Chicken Panini Sandwich. I was out in Phoenix for work one week so I called up a friend in the area and met up for dinner here. I like to research restaurants on rateclubs when I go out on my trips so naturally I found Delux. The interior had this modern look - almost like a lounge rather than a restaurant. We decided to sit outside because it seemed too crowded inside where you don't really have a table and just sit at a long counter next to other people. I already had a burger for lunch that day, so I didn't want to get another burger. I got the chicken panini instead - big mistake. It was dry and tastless. Nothing much else to say about it. My friend had the burger which he claims was very good. They did have a good selection of beers though. If I'm ever out here again I'll definitely stop by again and try the BURGER Instead.
