Minus a star for the pesky two drink minimum the cocktail waitresses enforce, but add that star back for getting me a little drunk. Minus the star again because I am still wearing the huge permanent ink stamp on my right hand saying I'm legal. Sticks (and stinks) like Sharpie. Sit in the wings on the side if you're at a stand-up show -- you can then stand up and you're over everyone's heads and still pretty close. Oops I shouldn't have told you that. That's my table bitch!
by Rob K. on New to the neighborhood and just in from a long flight, my beautiful wife suggested we get out for a nightcap. Welcome to Blake's, where on a Monday night you can enjoy a full drag show! Not only a drag show but a drag show where one of the queens even played the violin, now that's something special. I have to wonder, do they have drag shows every night? The bartenders were friendly, and the bar reminded me a little of cheers, gay cheers, where everyone knows your name. Well not my name, I just got here.
by Iola Onstead on Bootie is the best thing that happened to me in 2007. I'm not joking. I have only missed 1 bootie since Jan of 2007. I always gather up a random mix of friends and we head off the the DNA ready to party and have a great night. Smash Up derby is so insanely awesome you have love them. They bring in famous mash-up djs from all over the world. They give free Cd's to the first 100 people in the door,.Also if you find one of the djs and ask nicely they might even give you one if you didn't get one at the door. A lot of people don't like mash-ups and the people who do like them are quite an interesting breed of people. I love that about Bootie, you see all walks of life gathering for one love,mash-ups!
