by Houston Virrey on We saw The Civil Wars here on Saturday night. I was surprised how nice and friendly all of the staff were. It was really dark inside the venue - they should put a disclaimer that you need to bring a flashlight to read the menu or to walk around. But they do have someone to help you find a seat since it is so dark so that helps. We had reservations for a table and we'll definitely do that again! The one complaint is that if you're at a table then at least one person will not be facing the stage. The food was okay. We had fried pickles - which were yummy! The rest of the food was just alright and there wasn't a big selection of food choices. I would tell them to add more appetizer options because we could have made a meal of appetizers and drinks!
by Ned Arvie on You definitely need to know the promoter or else you are not getting in through the back and you'll be waiting in that ridiculously long line they keep out front on HW Blvd. Knew the promoter got it with no problem and went straight to the basement, yeah the people are a little hood but the club itself isn't. I would rather deal with the brothas than deal with the Ed Hardy douche bags you typically see. The DJ in the basement was poppin' played a wide array of hip hop/rap and the DJ upstairs was all top 40 but he did it well. As far as the look, typical strobe lights, lasers, black couches, shiny crap on the walls, yadda yadda yadda. It's a nice spot to dance I would come back
by Cynthia C. on Stayed here last week for a business trip and the room setup is perfect! There's two large flat screen lcd tvs - one in the bedroom and one in the work area. I love the work area - there's a huge desk that you can work on and the large tv is right next to you for your viewing pleasure. Even tho I didn't have time to watch tv, this is the exact setup I would want for my place back home. :) It was a huge room also with a very comfortable bed. If you get lucky and get a 9th floor room, you can free access to the bar/lunge and it has free breakfast and snacks all day. :)
