After watching Richard Blais compete on Top Chef, I was instantly a fan and couldn't wait to try Flip Burger to see what he was all about. Overall I was pretty happy with the place, although there were a few things I would change. We wound up being seated at the food bar which was fine by me as I think it's fun to watch them cook. I ordered a regular Flip burger and the two friends I was with had the Southern and the Bacon & Cheese. While the burgers themselves were quite tasty there was a problem when it came to consistency. We all ordered them cooked Medium - the Southern came out well done (not a hint of pink to be found), the Bacon & Cheese was a lovely medium-well (lucky him) and my poor Flip burger was still-moo'ing Rare-almost-Raw. I considered sending it back, but our waitress had disappeared entirely between the time we placed or order and the time our check arrived (which I was not thrilled with either). Finally, we split the Nutella & Burnt Marshmellow and Spicy Chocolate Mole shakes for dessert and I was happily surprised with how yummy they were. Overall, the bill came to $50 for (3) burgers, (2) fries, (1) sweet potato tots and (2) milkshakes. Not bad! So while Flip wasn't the best burger I've ever had, it was definitely the best I've ever had at this pricepoint and was an excellent value. The atmosphere of Flip itself is decidedly trendy-urban-chic with a touch of New York flair. Would I go back? Of course! Would I order a burger "Medium" again? Not a chance. Would I recommend to friends? You bet, that's why I rated it 4-stars!

Went here the other night with some friends. Didn't even know where we were going until we got to the door. Thankfully they knew someone inside because I don't think it was open to the public yet, (they had a private event poster on the wall). Had a great time. Most of my time was spent in the back room area. They have a fireplace back there where you can smoke. Decent sized dance floor surrounded by tables. The DJ was really good and mostly played house music which I personally love. Had me dancing all night! The crowd was really sexy to not your usual bottle service a-holes. Hopefully next time I go I can get in again.

This was supposed to be the "hot" club, where all the celebrities go. Just turned out to be a small venue, over-crowded, pricey ass place to party. The first night that Sar-bear and I went, we got lucky because we were with people who were willing to fork over a week's paycheck to get bottle service. The music wasn't that great to begin with, and people kept knocking me in the head with their elbows and spilling their drinks on me. I know i'm tiny, but damn... it happened more times in one night than all the times that I've been out in Cali. Although we didn't have such a great time, we decided to give the spot another try, just us girls. Tried to flirt w/ the bouncers to get us in for free- no go. Would've worked in Cali though. Fuckin paid 25 bucks/head to get in. Didn't have any more cash, so we put the tab on our credit card. The music was lame, and the crowd was non-existent, so we decided to leave after about 20 minutes. Only to find out, there's a $30 minimum to charge the card... A couple drinks later, 70+ dollars and precious time wasted, we left Marquee. Based on my experience, worst. club.ever. Bright side of the night- we got a picture w/ NYPD =)
