by Don C. on Incredible. Everything was sooo tasty. They also have THE BEST MAC N CHEESE I've ever had. My new favorite restaurant! The only thing that did not stand out was the mussels and the Blueberry Bourbon Fizz.
by Patrick B. on Awesome! I haven't used that surfer dude term in a long-time and quite honestly only bring it up on special occasions; well, this is a special occasions cuz I'm feelin' good! I just had a great dinner at Cafe Claude but here, I'll tell you about Sugar Cafe instead since that's what I'm reviewing. I ended up at Sugar Cafe because I mistakenly thought The Cellar was supposed to be a cool club where people go to dance, the hip-hop room was supposed to be hopping, and it wasn't supposed to remind you of a dance at a high school that had their dance budget slashed. It's got a long gas fireplace with stones which was SO reminiscent of the small brick fireplace at home that I have to start with wood. It's also small, but their drinks are even smaller! Haha. It's true, too much green for so little alcohol seen. I think I got a buzz but then the real buzz came afterwards when I walked through the Tenderloin for the first time and a guy told my friend and I that there were guys down the street with guns. THAT definitely got my buzz on, ya heard!
by Jeni Lerman on We had a friend in town and wanted a place to stop at before going bowling (not in the mood for bowling alley food). Delux was only about a mile away and was pretty much perfect. We split the mixed order of fries (half sweet potato, half plain old potato) which were DELISH. They brought the fries out before the rest of the food, which was fine with us since we were hungry. We also split a shake three ways which was fantastic. We were all happy with our meals (Delux burger, beet salad, and mahi-mahi sandwich), and it was great sitting outside. The only reason I didn't give a fifth star was because the service was a little spotty at times. I'm pretty sure our server didn't come back to see how the food was though he was there several other times. Overall a fun experience, and I'm really excited that they're open so late!
