by Tushara E. on My friends and I were visiting NYC this past weekend from DC and we wanted to find a place that was similar to some of our favorite spots at home. We wanted some good music and drinks, exactly what bOb bar gave us. The music was amazing, DJ played our requests. Doesn't get better than this. A little crowded, but nothing out of the ordinary. If I go back to NYC, this will be the first place I party when I get there.
by Tabitha F. on I really just don't like this place. It's loud, the staff is rude and the people that go there are well don't get me started. I have been a handful of times because of birthdays and what not and each time is worse. The one redeeming quality of that place is the spinach & artichoke dip appetizer. haha We went last week for a friend's bday and the waitress cleared our table without asking if we needed anything else. When she came back by someone in our party asked her to take our order and she actually rolled her eyes at us for daring to ask her to do her J-O-B. I went to use the restroom and these stupid 20 or 30 something bar whores where in the way of the sinks gossiping about who they'd kissed last time they were at Sherlocks and how hopefully they don't run into so and so and couldn't be bothered to move so I could wash my hands. Thankfully they have a handicap sink in the corner that the rest of us patrons were able to use. I guess this is where former sorority girls go to tramp it up before they age in to cougars and start frequenting Cool River. When I mentioned it to my friend after I came out she said it's always like that in there. The time before that was for another bday and the bouncer insisted my friend was not the same person as in her Id. (She'd just moved to Texas a few weeks before and was using her passport) She is a 5'7" blonde girl from the midwest and he informed us the girl in the pic was "mexican". When he said something to be about it and I tried to speak up he told me I was on his red flag list already because I am trouble maker at the bar. WTF?! I had been there maybe 3 times before and it had been well over a year since my last visit. He never even bothered to check my id. He started to say something on our way out and my boyfriend gave him that if you say a word to her I'll kick your ass look so he kept his mouth shut.
