What can I say? I have eaten at many Latin places (including places in Latin countries) and this place has the BEST FOOD EVER! I go there at least twice a month because the food is great the drinks are great and everything is priced reasonably. Don't let the fact that its in North Philly stop you. No, you wont get shot and you can park in the Rite Aid parking lot across the street if you are paranoid about your car being stolen. haha. on to the food... Everything comes with a side of rice, pork-free beans, and either sweet or crispy plantains. The crispy plantains come with a garlic sauce that i could drink-its soo good, and the sweet ones taste like a fried banana. The bistec de pollo (chicken breast with peppers and onions) is delicious and the shrimp salad is good as well. Other things I recommend are the shrimp empanadas (shrimp patties), bistec encebollado (top round with onions) and the ensalada de pulpo (octopus salad/ceviche). Keep in mind this place owns the Philadelphia restaurant MIXTO but is half the price of it. The only downside is the service is slow so be patient-the food is worth every penny.

I come to this little cafe to work from time to time. I really like the atmosphere, warm, welcoming, energetic. I like their food, the Santa Cruz sandwich is always great, all their soups are awesome and go really well with their bread. Coffee is ok, I'm not too excited about it, but when I work there I get bottomless with unlimited refills so I wouldn't complain about that. They do get pretty busy sometimes. But it's still a good place to go to.

A fun country bar with a tiki theme. Great juke box. Occassional band or kareyoke. Lots of variety in this place, 21 to past retired. Average is probably 35.

Every Saturday night one will see a huge crowd forming at the entrance at Marquee. A majority of them will have to pay the $20 cover to realize there isn't much to marvel once they're inside. The drinks are expensive and the service is so-so. Only VIPS may enjoy this club, but as a visitor it isn't vastly different from the much more affordable and approachable options out there in the city. The music was fantastic however, the upper level played good hip hop while the lower main level had excellent mixes of house music. Beware of celebrity sightings and be even more aware of their extra rude bouncers attempting to protect them.
