I don't like to spend tooo much time rating clubs, so here it goes.... + found parking and didn't have to pay for it! hell yeah - obnoxiously slow line when it wasn't packed inside (not nearly as bad as other places like Infusion) - having to pay a cover, which was $10 being on guestlist + decent-ish music. Too much house for my taste, primarily I wasn't drunk enough to enjoy random beats that made me go WTF + good drinks. One and a half drinks had one of the ladies I was with crawling to the car by 11:30pm to sleep it off. LOL. I'm a fan - non diverse crowd...quite an odd mix of Asian guys who picture crashed and preppy White boys who thought they were excellent dancers + being able to people watch and laugh +- nice table service area...but really tight to walk through! ++ the decor is SO much better than BOSS - bathroom is bleh. It reminded me of a high school bathroom All in all a fun night, not sure if I'd go back, but perhaps i'll give it another try after I exhaust the rest of what SF has to offer

The venue is very classy and has great lighting for a club. I love the music on any night that I have been. They have some really good DJs. The drinks are pricey...like 18 dollars for a vodka/soda. It is one of the hardest clubs to get into. You either have a table, know someone who has a table, go with a promoter, and other than that it is hit or miss if you are going to be able to get in. Very attractive crowd and very tall. Once you are inside you will have a blast!

Meh, totally looks better on the site than in person. The open courtyard makes it feel more like a motel than a hotel. It's definitely a little out of place being in San Francsico, I mean it's only hot enough to use the pool two months out of the year. I didn't get to take advantage of the bar and restuarant at the hotel while I was staying there, we had other plans. The Phoenix being the "rock star" hotel is sort of a perk though. Sean Lennon and Vincent Gallo were staying a couple doors down when I was there. Mr. Lennon was kind enough to hold the lobby door open for me once. The parking lot is a plus. Its close to the middle of the city and close enough to public transportation - thought it's a bit of a walk up from the Civic Center station. Even though the area around the hotel is a bit sketch, it's not as bad as some other parts of the city. All in all I would say it's sort of convenient (location and parking wise) and it works for people who don't want to stay in the predictable high rise, indoor hotel. I wasn't too impressed though.
