by Andy G. on Good food. Their mexican pizza is fantastic. And my GF loves the mole... The service can be a bit hit or miss... Big problem though is that they turn the place into a "nightclub" at 10pm. Why they feel the need to hire DJ's to come in to play for the 6 people that are still there is beyond me. Just turn the house music up slightly and dim the lights a bit. Then you'd have a chill bar environment, something downtown Alhambra is severely lacking...

We're chatting and trying to figure out what to drink when I (being the astute film major that I am) glance up at the small TV screen and notice Hitchcock's Vertigo playing. Moi: Hey, isn't that Vertigo? Regina (looking at screen): Yeah, I think so. Moi (to bartender): So, like, do you guys play this movie ALLLLLLLL the time? Bartender: (pause) Umm, yeah. Moi: (literally -- I shit you not -- surprised) REALLY?? Bartender: Well, I try to get management to play "The Birds" every once in awhile but they don't want to. Congratulations, Dianne, you've already made an ass of yourself and you haven't even started drinking for the night! Despite this, the bartender was pretty cool and mixed up some good drinks.. mmmm. Mango margarita special. I'm not usually into such girly drinks but who am I to turn down such a tempting drink special? Not I.
