We have 2-for-1 drinks until midnight (LIE.. it was till 11, some bartenders were supportive.. and deserve all the respect.), so make sure to come early so you don't miss any of the music. I SHOWED THE BARTENDERS the email.. you would think they would be accommodating..no. no no.. not at all..or bring down management to address the issue... NOPE. This one girl was a real bitch. The others were GREAT...Treat me right I will treat you right. The good.. was the music.. wanted to shake my butt all night.. Drinks $7-8 a pop..not bad for NYC standards Nooks and Cranies.. made it intimate..the stone inside Bouncers were funny and courteous, my one friend didn't know she lost her id an found her. The crowd was early 20s kind of diverse. Dislike Most of the STAFF..it can REALLY ruin the place Yarhizeit candles.. for DECOR.. SERIOUSLY?? Umm that is to light on JEWISH MEMORIALS...HAVE SOME CLASS..?? $20 Cover before 11?? Poor correspondence. $40 CARD MINIMUM for a TAB! Will I come back again??? Ehh likely.. NOT. Unless serious improvements. Pretty sure there they will try and have this deleted
by Stephanie S. on COMPOUND is THE PLACE TO PARTY IN ATLANTA This is, in my opinion, the closest thing that Atlanta has to an internationally appreciated nightclub fixed with multiple dance floors featuring world class DJs. I've seen the sun rise over Sydney Harbor after a night of partying in celebrity filled clubs and have danced along the Mediterranean, and Compound is not far from world status. I suggest getting on the mailing list. That way you can RSVP for you and a friend on Friday nights and other special events to avoid the 20 dollar cover charge, which I have to admit is worth it if you plan to pay cover anywhere in Atlanta. There are the occasional fashion shows or celebrity sponsored events with Atlanta's finest producers and artists being featured guests. And you might be able to catch your favorite DJ on a tour. I've always had a good time at Compound and have only had to buy my drink once. Guys and girls are plentiful and all are hot. Dress code is enforced. And expect to stand in line if you get there past 11. It's probably the only nightclub I will stand in line for.
by Chara Brockman on Probably one of the best sound systems for House in the city.. Josh Wink was amazing.,.. Ive been a few times, but I have to say it's a bit pricey. The weak $7 Jack and cokes in a little plastic cup, are annoying. They check you when you come in, so you cant bring in a pipe for your medical marijuana or a flask to make up for the weak ass drinks. The patio rocks, and the crowd is usually fun. It's a nice change of pace for the yuppy , soul-less, meat market clubs like 1015 or rubySkye. Kontrol moving there is cool.. I was impressed when I went to get my fag on, at Fag fridays .. i normally avoid all gay places cause the music and crowds suck. The music was surprisingly good.. and the crowd was not the typical Castro scene crowd. I would go more often, but my little pocketbook can't handle it...and there is no excuse for weak expensive drinks... (i smell scam) oh yea, i went with a friend who put his bag down 3 feet away for 5 minutes.. and it got stolen. He was visiting from out of town.. and he had his wallet, only set of car keys.. and cel phone in there.. situation sucked! so BE CAREFUL!
