by Tamara Krukiel on When I go to a jazz club, it's all about the feelings. This is mostly because I don't know shit about the technicalities of music in general. All I know is that I'm into it, or I'm not into it. When I was here, I was definitely into it. When you sit in this tightly packed, dimly lit, red velvet enveloped little enclave, you want to be either madly in love or massively heartbroken. You start yearning for someone with whom to silently wander the abandoned city streets at midnight, floating through the smoke coming out of the vents and dodging the garbage bags being tossed across the sidewalks by busboys getting off work. Does anyone really have this kind of life? When you're at Smoke, you really really hope so.
by Kari S. on Pure is great neighborhood Mexican joint. The margaritas are absolutely delicious and are stronger than most restaurant margaritas, which is definete plus. Besides the margaritas, I always get the quacamole to go along with my chips and salsa. It's one of the best out. The main dishes aren't anything to write home about but definetly make my belly happy. They are a bit pricey but that has to be the only downfall to this joint! I will keep coming back!
by Latrisha Capitani on We were in the VIP room - didn't feel much like VIP, although we avoided long lines. But I should have known by the lines, the crowd inside was just beyond trash and B&T. I will never make fun of any Chelsea club again being B&T after experiencing this on a recent Saturday night. Maybe it's better on another night, but I wouldn't bet on it.
