This place reminds me of Facebook or MySpace when you see someone's picture and they got you thinking "Damnnnnnn." Then you see them in person, and you're like "wtf?" Atmosphere is a lot dingier than presented online, and it really sucks when they don't open their second dance floor because the first one is cramped. This isn't a good thing considering the booty hounds here. I know, I know...You're thinking "But there are booty hounds at every club!" While I don't doubt that, I must say the persistence, aggression, and sheer perverseness of their faces definitely set them apart here. There was little to no wait at the bar and the bartenders were nice and friendly. Their music was okay (the usual popular radio stuff). But this just doesn't cut it. I would feel utterly ripped off if I paid to get in this club. And I'd feel betrayed if I drove all the way to sf just to go here. Maybe it's better on special event nights? Who knows.

Okay, so I don't know what this club is like on a regular night...I mean, apparently the people from The Hills go to it, so it's probably a b*tch to get in, right? I don't watch that show, so...whatever. There was a special Memorial Day party hosted by Party Til A.M., and it was pretty awesome. As long as you knew promoters, you were able to get in without a problem. I loved the club/lounge itself - cozy, woodsy, and uh...a little weed-sy? Maybe I was the only one smellin' that, but I swear...someone was smokin out. Drinks will run you about $12, which is average for Hollywood. Plus, their drinks are f*cking strong! Seriously. Which is why I'm reviewing now, at 4:21 a.m., after piggin' out at El Taurino. Actually, at El Taurino, I met some fellow rateclubsers. What a small world...

I really liked everything about this place. Its just crazy/campy looking enough to be cute and the food was really good. Our waiter was really nice, the bartenders gave us free drinks (I'm not very cute, so I'm sure it was out of kindness), and they mixed us special spicy salsa that is still hurting 2 days after the fact. Yummy! And also, a few words... CUSTARD FILLED CURROS. Oh my goshhh. Could be one of the best things I've ever eaten. And I eat A LOT. My only regret was that I didn't stay longer and mingle with the people that usually show up after 10 p.m.
