I celebrated my birthday here a month ago and it turned out to be a GREAT night! I ordered bottle service (kind of last minute but Leilani, the rep, was very nice) and I was given the best spot in the house (fits up to 14 people sitting!) and our waitress was really cool. I got to put as many guests on a guestlist but honestly I'm not even sure if they checked it after 11:30pm because I had some friends who arrived super late and they told me that the front door didn't even bother to check the list and just let them through. My PROS: - Great service (bartenders, bouncers, waitresses). Bartenders were fast and friendly and if I remember correctly, the drink prices weren't jaw dropping and they actually tasted good as opposed to watered down or massively strong. - Good mix of music: it started off with salsa/world type music (I was sober so I remember this clearly), I'm certain they played a mix of other stuff in between but it's a little hazy, and I know really late into the night maybe after 11:30pm they finally transitioned into some hip-hop, r&b, old school stuff - Affordable bottle service (1 bottle minimum for any reservation), which includes sodas and juices. PLUS, they carry Sailor Jerry and Kraken spiced rum and if you are familiar with any one of these rums you know that they are the BOMBest spiced rum and that not all bars carry them! - Mixed, friendly crowd My CONS: - The dance floor is tiny and it does get kind of crowded and stuffy - There are tables that face the bar area that aren't separated so I can only imagine how annoying it can get when there's a buttload of people crowding your space, dancing in your area or when feet start hurting and girls just want a place to sit down so they sit in your booth. Luckily, the area I was given had a velvet type rope at its entrance and even some time throughout the evening the bouncer was standing in front of it... probably just to watch the crowd. - The bar area gets kind of crowded too so watch out when it's really late and there's drunk people walking through with drinks in their hand because sometimes they will tend to spill some on you by accident (especially when they're tall and you're short!)... but then what great bar in SF can you walk through late at night without getting sOmething spilled on you, right? Overall I was very satisfied with this venue and all my friends had a great time! I would most definitely do the bottle service here again and request that awesome corner booth!

This review is just for the bar part since no food was consumed. WHAT A FUN PLACE. From the dancing puppets on the walls, the cushy velvet seats, baroque print walls and dim, intimate setting, everything oozes a sexy yet funny Elvira-esque feel.

I love this place. A bit small, but what're you gonna do about that. Has a nice low key, backalley feel. I think the TL is one coolest spots in all the City, and to have this chill a place smack dab in the middle just reeks of win. Drum and Bass at 222 cannot be beat.
