by susan s. on It gets a star for the gold skulls. The crowd is horrible, the door guy is rude, and Asher Roth threw a party here, but photography wasn't allowed so we couldn't show you if it was fun for not. So many other better places to party that isn't so snobby.
by Atish M. on Ok, so I'm a snobby San Franciscan who is into house music. I came to LA for the weekend...I had low expectations, considering I could find only 1 other venue spinning house that weekend (Vanguard)...I expected a douchey crowd, and the typical Hollywood bullshit given that this was in the middle of the Hollywood action. I was wrong. King King reminded me of one of my favorite SF clubs, Mighty. It was totally low key compared to the rest of the strip (you have to enter through the parking lot in the back). I walked in, and things sounded good, not mind blowing, but good. The crowd was cool, most people were dancing, and it was diverse overall. Drinks were like $6 or $7 bucks, which I wasn't a huge fan of, but I guess that's LA. The DJ was great too. If I lived in LA, this would be my spot. Well done.
by Rolande Burgo on Very fun! I went there for dancing and drinks and the bartender on each floor were all nice...the scene was young and definitely evened out amongst guys and girls. Each floor had different music and so we checked out each floor throughout the night. Lots of fun but god, talk about people pushing their way through at the door! Thank god I'm small...I'm able to squeeze myself past people easily. I will definitely go back soon.
