I was excited to come here since I seen it on commercials and it looked friendly and fun! But like all commercials, they are not as they appear. A $5 entrance fee and a 45 minute wait for a lane did not appeal to me. The service was not kind, especially the bouncer downstairs. You could have at least told us that there were no lanes before I paid for the entrance fee.... There were a few lanes that weren't being used; they were either broken or there for art. I was even eager to pay the $13 per game that you have asked of me but the whole vibe wasn't there! I've been to a nice bowling alley in Perdue university which was cooler and cheaper!

Beautiful spacious venue with great music; up there with all the places in my old haunt NYC. Only issue is that Hollywood is so far away from Westwood where i live. Was a $30 cab ride there, not too bad when split among 4 people but not awesome. Huge dance floor, was extremely packed shoulder to shoulder; what do you expect on the Saturday night. We were able to get in because our friend made reservations before hand (a must) otherwise you'd have to get a table. Got there at 11:30 and cover was $20, standard for NYC not sure of LA. Drinks were pretty reasonable, $7 Corona, $10+ cocktails and they had a house bear for $5. Sadly the whole thing closed down at 2am. Way to early for anyone who likes to party... now that I am in LA will need to go out earlier if I want to have a full night.

Chef Matt really impressed my wife and I, and both of our friends, both times we've eaten at Medici. The wine list is great, be prepared to drop about $40 for a decent bottle. The food items are all very innovative, and incredibly delicious. We've had the Risotto with truffles, the ravioli, the cheese cake, the house-made tangerine sorbet, stuffed calamari, the Carbonara with quail eggs, the brussel sprouts with pancetta, and really we can say that everything is delicious. For a new SOMA lounge, the food is really off the hook. The staff is all very friendly. **Not a place to bring kids, though, considering that its more of a lounge than a full on dining restaurant.
