I came in one night with a friend at his suggestion after dinner at Su Xing just as Happy Hour was about to end, and I have to say, it was PACKED! That being said, we managed to snag seats at the bar. I settled on a watermelon martini (my first ever!) and I thoroughly enjoyed it while listening to the acoustic performer who was playing that night. Shame I didn't get his name because he played some great covers. Hopefully he will be playing there again in the future.

Ambiance? Unique. Service? Terrible. So-called "security," and "management" were beyond rude to our party of 8+ people, who had pre-arranged a table and large tab. 8 people is not a horrendous number to serve. They are obviously ill-equipped here to deal with crowds and extremely under-employed. It was described to me as a one of a kind experience, and the scenery certainly is. However, do not expect to get your money's worth, since the staff is impatient and feels they are too good to listen to even your basic concerns (ie, we order X drink and you brought us Y, can we please have what we ordered? ....was greeted with a SNORT and a siiiigh by our "server," who apparently had better things to do than get his order correct....) All in all, a cool venue to view but NOT to spend your money in. Security personnel border-line harassers and the staff generally are too cool to serve you what you pay for. My advice? Wander down, check out the nice design job, then leave and hit up the cheapest bar you can find in the area. That will be more bang for your buck.

I recently turned 21, and I plan on taking full advantage of my newly acquired legality. The way I plan on executing my plan is by hitting all those spots that I could never go without my girlfriends' trusty 21+ IDs and by being drunk every single weekend. Well, coming to Bubble Lounge only allowed me to complete half of my mission. I was able to go to a lounge without having to worry about getting in, but unable to fulfill the drunk requirement. Want to know why? Because their drinks are too expensive for my part-time working self to guzzle down. I had a $12 bellini and that's pretty much where my journey to getting drunk ended. I think the cheapest drink on the menu is a bottle of Stella Artois for $6. Since they don't charge cover and it IS a "bubbly" lounge, I suppose I should expect the drinks to be slightly more expensive. The upstairs is a classy lounge area with tables and chairs scattered around. There are two bars, I think, and the entire upstairs just looks really nice. The downstairs is a totally different story though. There's a small area with bench-like seating against the wall with small tables and a small bar. The cave-esque dance floor was ridiculously crowded with no ventilation. But at least there were small fans along the floor to keep it semi-cool. The dance floor was filled with hormone fueled trains. And by "trains", I mean the ones where three girls are sandwiched between two gyrating mid-twenties aged guys who have the sex drive of a sixteen year old. Yeah, those kind of trains. But I think it's nice that there is a place for people who want to dance that's separate from the people who want to just relax and have a drink.
