by Danielle K. on Other than the bad neighborhood this place isn't all bad. The drinks were very bad.. worst Vodka Tonic I have ever had.. and it was very expensive. However, the atmosphere was great! The music was good and I love th VIP room in the middle.. however the smoking area on the lower level was a little scary! I give this place 3 stars and I would go back.. but I recommend making your own drinks at home!
by Judson Hughett on The intent was to go to the abbey. That was the plan. Upon arriving at the abbey...the shock of the line kept us away. We decided to stop by a bar close by called Eleven. As we walked up, the joint was dead. There were several bouncers outside with no one to bounce. We walked right in and the place was amazing. Visually...i loved it. The lower part of the bar houses the large bar and some cool places to hang out. After moving up to the second floor...I was just as impressed. Large black couches circle the stairs and there is also a large sized bar on this level too. The DJ over looks the entire bar on a separate section. There was not a large crowd. I would say maybe12 people maximum. My friend and I walked to the bar to order drinks for the group. There was one bartender and he took my friends order while he walked away...most of the bar walked up for drinks at that point. I have no idea why they waited till we walked up..but who knows? My friend get his order but the bartender completely ignores me and takes everyone else order. After waiting for ten minutes, he begins to take people's orders who just walk up. I become slightly inpatient given that there are so few people in the bar. I decided to walk down stairs at that point. There are several str8 bartenders who obviously are fawning on the girls at the bar and paying no attention to me. Bartenders should always know to work the gays cuz we tip well but turn fast. I finally find the one lone woman bartender is actually...surprise...quick. I order and she brings it back to me. Unfortunately, I was pretty bitter at that point and not happy. I go back upstairs to meet the pack but I just wasn't feeling it at that point. Its hard to go to a bar and get drunk when you cant even get your order in to someone. I would rate the look of the bar as a 4 but the service is a 1..and I wish I could go into the negative for that kind of service.
