I first went to the NYC location so I've been wanting to check out the Philly spot for a while. Went here with a couple of buddies from out of town. We got there early so we started in the upstairs lounge. I can see this being a fun happy hour spot. The staff and service up there was great. On to the main event. We ordered a bunch of apps for the table but what I remember the most were the Rock Shrimp Tempura. These were so good. You better be hungry too as these are pretty heavy. They actually gave us a second plate for free since we patiently waited for our table. I think we ended up being seated 30 minutes late. As for my entree, I went with the Chef's Combination. Nice mix of sushi and sashimi. Overall, it was pretty good. Not the best sushi I've ever had, but still tasty none the least. I'm definitely glad I made it here. I was in good company in a great restaurant making for a great experience.

beautiful hotel. great location. the valet parking and parking garage were both expensive... there was a live pianist at night in the lounge area. i accidentally left my phone on the iHome dock and ran back up to get it while valet was getting my car. when i got back to the room, it had already been stripped of the sheets and my phone was still on the dock, but the case was gone (i have to remove it to fit the dock). everyone was extremely helpful. when they couldn't find my case because it had already been put in the trash compactor, they asked me how much the case was worth, and without hesitation, offered to give me $50. they also gave me the option to either credit it to my card from my hotel bill, or give it to me in cash. the reason i didnt give 5 stars is because the parking cost is ridiculous. i think it was $50/day. there were 4 cars in my party... we stayed 3 nights. too much. valet could have been more friendly. public parking was nearby but was also expensive. i couldnt find any free or cheaper public parking for my friend who was dropping by to visit.

I am not the type of person that wants to go to Mansion, Marquee, Cain, Home and etc...it's just not my scene nor my thing. I hate the crowd that comes here - tourists or B&T. C was nice enough to invite me to her office party in Tribeca and afterwards she wanted to grab some Artichoke Pizza. But after getting the pizza, F ended up driving us to the West Side and Uptown...we didn't know what he was doing until we ended up around the 10th Avenue. Ughhhh....*sigh* - I hate this area and especially over the weekend! But whatever, I wanted to be a good sport about it and decided to go along with them. F knows the people there so we didn't have to wait in line to get in or to coat check. I passed on the coat check since I was planning to leave after 10 minutes. Instead, I actually stayed there for quite sometime...we went into the inner room where they were playing OLD SKOOL music and I stress OLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLD! So Old, I can't even remember the name of the people or group! I preferred this inner room rather than Upstairs...Upstair need more DIVERSITY and the main room is lame and filled with people that I would probably want to punch. So the inner room was chill until this old couple came in and the girl was all dancing freaky deaky to her dude. They were in their early 40's - the dude was nice enough to offer I and I drinks and he constantly refilled our glasses. It was crazy since I found out he's an Anthestheologist from Texas! Him and his "gf" gave me some Texas love and to thank them I was going to help them search for their third. But I told them they were in the wrong place to look for Tall, Athletic Blondes - so none of us were successful. Long story short - good ol' time but yes, two stars because I know I would never come back here again and I only had fun because of the special situation with the couples and C, I and F.
