One of favorite places to go for a downtown drink. Great retro, prohibition-era decor out of a former Edison (get it?) power plant. It's like experience a bit of American as well as local LA-history at the same time. Lots of entertainment that also follows this retro theme. This place does have a dress code so if you're dressed casual/shabby, esp on weekend nights, good luck getting in, even if there isnt a line. For more hassle free entry, happy hour on the weekdays is suggested.

We went to flip last saturday...I have been waiting to go since I heard of its opening. Initial impression is that is small.....not a lot of parking, not a lot of seating, and that it will make a really nice Johnny Rockets after this concept is done. The food was really good though. I had the butcher cut (which had blue cheese and red wine jam) with yummy fries and a Krispy Creme shake. Overall it was good and the prices werent bad at all.
