I love love love Edison. When all the kiddies were doing the South Bay Hermosa beach scene.. I was the only one who wanted to spread my wings and go downtown. Note that I did not say Hollywood.. I am not a fan of Hollywood. Hollywood is okay from time to time.. but unless you like dealing with lines and high covers, I would skip it. Now let me tell you.. downtown isn't nice in LA. Full of homeless people and just a handful of good bars. This place is immaculately cool. In the basement where the entrance is in the alley. I love going on Thursday which is burlesque night. But all nights are good here. It's a speak easy.. think flappers and swankiness... it's cool to be at.. and best of all, no cover.

The ambience is great, very LA feel to it. Definately something new that Atlanta needed. The food is alright, not worth the three hour wait to get a table though!!! I was disappointed to find out that they don't take reservations, so make sure you are ready to run up a tab at the bar or wait the long lines till you get a table! The milkshakes look awesome, I am yet to try them but I hear they are really good!! Overall FLIP is good....I just wish they took reservations!!

I havn't been out dancing in a minute, I hate those huge venues! But King King was just right...its a small dance club with room to dance. We danced till 4 in the am! I love that it was open till 4, being from NY I miss my late nights out. There was a ton of hotties, it was $10 before 11, the DJ was pumping, the crowd was friendly, cool vibe, and did I mention a ton of hotties?!!!! When we got back home I was soaking wet from not being able to sit down all night! I cant' wait to go back...it might be a monthly thing to hit Balance.....
