by Craig K. on Wow, I'm sursprised that Rosa's got such bad reviews. I agree that it's not the BEST Mexican food out there, but definitely not deserving of anything less than 3 stars. I don't think a restaurants price should be a factor in lowering stars... You have to take into consideration the location of the place, Atlantic Station, where dinner prices aren't gonna be pocket change. Went here last night for dinner and personally I thought it was pretty good. The design and decor is definitely screaming trendy. I was actually told by the wait staff to remove my hat. We tried the guacamole w/ chips and tortillas. I'd have to say this was the best part of the meal. They make it at your table from fresh avocados w/ your choice of spiceyness. Very good. I tried the Tablones which was decent, tasted a bit like roast beef. I tried the Salmon too, which probably would have been a better choice. Expect dinner to be around $20-$30 per person. Complimentary valet and I'd recommend making reservations since the wait can be a while especially on a weekend night.
by Meggan Victorero on After being forced to wait outside behind velvet ropes for 20 minutes, I was expecting to have an unforgettable night at a club like no other. But to my suprise, when I was finally permitted to walk past the two scary looking security guards who stood cross-armed by the doors, I was quite disappointed- and that's an understatement. There were seriously no more than 15 people hanging out downstairs, and no one upstairs - since it wasn't open yet- So what was the reason for the wait? Everyone in the place appeared to be no older than 18, and only two people were dancing. I'm not really a 'club person' , but I can have fun anywhere- anywhere other than Providence. What a waste of a night.
