by Mary N. on Very nice atmosphere and crowd. Went there for a birthday party last week and was very impressed how the place looks. Very strict dress code. Food was good, specially the Mac and cheese and sweet potato fries. Their drinks can use a little bit more alcohol in it. Very pricey for such a tiny drink. No dancing, just a lot of standing/sitting around eating and drinking. You have to spend $25 per person.
by Shaun J. on I was not expecting much from this bar. I have always thought of Prague and Gruv as being on in the same. I was completely wrong. Prague has nice decor both inside and out (Beautiful girls working the door was an added bonus). The stripper pole which was previously mentioned is great. Not only is it fun to watch the ladies operate the pole, but you could look around and see guys had their eye on it as well. I am NEVER going to be a stripper, so I gave it a whirl myself. As for the bartenders they are very prompt, drinks were reasonably priced, and the patrons were very attractive and seemed personable. Will definitely go back to Prague on a night out in downtown Austin.
by Tracy Cata on Being a self-professed nightclub expert (and not really proud of this title), I would have to say Home should be made into its moniker, because it's not doing too well as a club. The reservation system is whack: you'll have to make one to get in or at least promise the guys at the door that you'll buy a bottle. The layout isn't practical for a nightclub setting, which is usually constructed for the most opportunities for socializing. Home's layout is more like traversing through a maze made by a blind man. It's as practical as an M.C. Escher painting. There are many clubs on this street, just don't go to Home.
