Can I give this 0 stars! I am amazed how awful this musical was. I must assume that those who wrote positive reviews have never been to a broadway play/musical. When the evening began the band was on the stage playing music. There was an indication of a great night to come. That hope died not to long after. There was a lot of boot shaking. At-times it did not appear to be african dance - it appeared as gratuitous body girations. I think writers and directors thought sex was a replacement for a plot and story line. I have no ideal what Fela was fighting or why the authorities came after him and his group. There is a solom moment in the play where text flashes on a screen describing what atrocities occured to each member of his troup.

There are so many good restaurants in Chelsea and the West Village. This is not one of them. Mediocre food, bad service but nice fireplace and glass-roofed garden seating. Head a couple blocks north to Cookshop at 20th and 10th where you may need to wait for a table or spot at the bar but the service and food make it worthwhile.

Being a self-professed nightclub expert (and not really proud of this title), I would have to say Home should be made into its moniker, because it's not doing too well as a club. The reservation system is whack: you'll have to make one to get in or at least promise the guys at the door that you'll buy a bottle. The layout isn't practical for a nightclub setting, which is usually constructed for the most opportunities for socializing. Home's layout is more like traversing through a maze made by a blind man. It's as practical as an M.C. Escher painting. There are many clubs on this street, just don't go to Home.
