SERIOUSLY couldn't wait to get home and rateclubs about this place.. Instead of the song "This is how we do it......." fitting this place..it FAILED!!!! Stuck between 1 or 2 stars.. but I had more dislikes than likes.. Excerpt from email correspondence. Thanks for RSVPing for GENARRO LE FOSSE at Sullivan Room this Saturday! Ask for SLEEPY & BOO's guest list at the door. We have 2-for-1 drinks until midnight (LIE.. it was till 11, some bartenders were supportive.. and deserve all the respect.), so make sure to come early so you don't miss any of the music. If you have any more friends who want to come, you can send their names over to us. If you have a group that would like to reserve a table and get a bottle, let me know! (Yeah.. no FREE ADMISSION, we paid a $20 cover) You can also get presale tickets here - http://www.wantickets.... Spread the word and we'll see you on the dancefloor for this one...can't wait! Sleepy & Boo Basic NYC http://www.basicnyc.com That's a CROCK OF SHIT... I rolled up with 10 girls...not 2, not 5, 10!!! With a LIST OF NAMES..The right hand doesnt know what the left had is doing. I SHOWED THE BARTENDERS the email.. you would think they would be accommodating..no. no no.. not at all..or bring down management to address the issue... NOPE. This one girl was a real bitch. The others were GREAT...Treat me right I will treat you right. The good.. was the music.. wanted to shake my butt all night.. Drinks $7-8 a pop..not bad for NYC standards Nooks and Cranies.. made it intimate..the stone inside Bouncers were funny and courteous, my one friend didn't know she lost her id an found her. The crowd was early 20s kind of diverse. Dislike Most of the STAFF..it can REALLY ruin the place Yarhizeit candles.. for DECOR.. SERIOUSLY?? Umm that is to light on JEWISH MEMORIALS...HAVE SOME CLASS..?? $20 Cover before 11?? Poor correspondence. $40 CARD MINIMUM for a TAB! Will I come back again??? Ehh likely.. NOT. Unless serious improvements. Pretty sure there they will try and have this deleted

The thing about 3rd floor is how it is relatively hit-or-miss. Sometimes I go and its packed, and same time next week, they are empty. I'd prefer to know whether it was chill or packed so I could decide whether it's worth going. Last night, we got fruit and beer (2,500 cc .... I had to use my iPhone to figure out how much that would be). Fruit was tasty, but they were quite limited on which beers were available [Miller, Coors, Bud]. Though, it was all for $30, so for the 6 of us it wasn't so bad. The cocktails seemed too expensive to try. If you're in Ktown, I'd recommend going to Maru instead if you're looking for a lounge.

This place is ok. I haven't gone for a show yet, just happy hour at the bar. The Falafel was good and worth going back for. The crowd is a bunch of hipster kids, but everyone is nice enough. I'd go back to check out a show or get another falafel, but I wouldn't make this place a regular watering hole. My one complaint was that we went during the winter and the place was freezing, after we ate we left to go to another, warmer bar.
