"Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" is put to the test in places like AB - the food is solid but doesn't wow, so one does have a second thought afterwards whether a glass of fresh squeezed juice would have been a better way to go that evening. Meals' quality is consistently good across sushi, seafood and meal entries and apps but don't come here if you are gourmanding for top of the line in a particular cuisine. AB is smartly compartmentalized, so each area feels right-sized despite the overall monstrous size. DJ is balling but a bit on a loud side even when you don't sit next to a speaker. Great for dates and friend's gathering - lots of soft cushions and decently looking people

I wrote this review on: 02/04/2007 My friends and I have been to Bruno's several times since it reopened. We started going for the amazing (and surprisingly affordable) food on weeknights. The kobe burger is good eatin. On weekends, we consistently bring guests from out of town and people who want to get a feel for the mission nightlife - Brunos is a great venue for dancing and the DJs on the weekends are great! Last night we were dissapointed that the "cork room" (the room in the back that usually turns into a dance floor) was closed. . . until we stumbled upon THE PUSSYCAT LOUNGE. It is up a stairway in the back, and pretty much unknown, but definitely worth checking out. There were only a few people chilling up there, but it's a really cool space. Plenty of room for dancing, a full bar, sit-down areas, great lighting, and STRIPPER POLES! Yeah that's right, stripper poles. I'm seriously considering renting the joint out for a party. Bruno's is my #1 mission nightlife spot, two thumbs up on atmosphere, service, drink menu, music, and food. If you haven't been, you have to go.
