by Brooks Giovanini on I stumbled. I slipped. I fell. I told an employee to fuck himself and gave him the finger. I stumbled some more. I slipped a few more times. I even fell over again and again. Sure, they made numerous threats and put me in several "time outs" (I don't remember shit; my friends told me). Yet they still let me stay. And, the DJ played "ain't no fun." Thanks Atmosphere!
by Mr Patel T. on The atmosphere is energetic, as if a rumor were circulating that famous actors were about to swoop in for dinner. People with shiny hair and incredible heels predominate, followed by people in Prada suits, followed by a lot of women carrying fashion-label bags the size of sofa cushions. In the minority: the unbeautiful. The garlic bread was warm, fresh, and tasty. The marinara which accompanies the bread rivals Scott Contant's tomato sauce. The Chicken Marsala and Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection. The chicken Marsala was not served with much of the wine sauce so I recommend asking for extra sauce on the side. The mashed potatoes, broccoli, and mushrooms were ordered as sides. The mashed potatoes had great texture and flavor. The broccoli lacked salt and mushrooms were spot on. The service was good for an opening weekend. The assistant waiter came to our table six times to pick up our plates though we were eating. I was ready to give him an ass kicking. Overall great place to dine if you seeks to be in the presence of beautiful people, enjoy good food, and enjoy people watching.
by Garret Averbeck on A Michael Mina restaurant and part of SBE Entertainment's restaurant chain. Ambiance is definitely that of a restaurant on the Sunset Strip, large groups of female model types constantly walking in and out, probably going to purge their latest meal. I ate here with my wife on a Friday night. Decor is very original, looks like you are eating in a library with some very loud music in the background. We started with the Tataki of American Wagyu Skirt, which I enjoyed and the presentation was nice. The sauce went well with the meat, which was tender. I had the Alaskan Halibut and my wife had the Jidori Chicken. Both were presented very nicely, however, I felt the taste was average. For dessert, we had the Nutella Custard, which was an interesting cup of dessert. Overall, the great atmosphere and presentation of food average out against the taste of the food and price to arrive at a restaurant that is OK. Not dying to go back.
