Ecco has inched its way in as my #1 favoritest bestest restaurant in the city. The atmosphere is very sexy - modern but warm, fancy but loungey at the same time. The service has never been anything less than stellar. Not just prompt but some of the friendliest servers around. The food is spectacular, and I think it ranks up there with some much more expensive restaurants around. We always start off with the meat and cheese offerings, my favorites being the proscuitto (duh), the speck, the cana de oveja and the Italian blue. They serve it with fresh bread, and I swear I could make a meal just out of this. Great wine list with nice glasses around $8 and $9 a glass. $5 Stella Artois which my husband loves. Yes, yes - get the fried goat cheese as everyone suggests. I really could eat like 15 of those things in one sitting. The piquillo peppers and mussels are our two other favorites, and I'd highly recommend them both. Never actually had a full app/entree/dessert type dinner here, always end up just getting a ton of plates to share. Would definitely recommend this since their appetizers are amazing. Tried the pizza on our last visit. Had the new Ecco pizza which had the most delicious ham on it. Perfectly wood-fired with a thin crisp crust, it was a great end to our meal. A little bit on the small side, but after you've eaten all those small plates, you barely have room for pizza. For what I would consider a classy restaurant, Ecco is pretty affordable. We can go, eat, drink, have a great time and spend about $100. Not bad, since there are a lot a places in the city we have spent more and left less satisfied. Can't wait to go back!

very creative and luscious food & drinks. i would strongly recommend going there. the only reason i didn't give it a 5 is because our waiter had a bit of attitude & a couple of the things we ordered were A-OK. but still would go back...great neighborhood as well, would suggest going a bit early & walking around in the Society Hill streets, oggling at all the great architecture

A co-worker and I both celebrated our birthdays here this past Saturday. We got bottle service, which was pretty pricey, but is totally worth it if you're coming with a large party. Reason being is that it is almost impossible getting in here on the guestlist. Jeremy was our VIP host and very professional and helpful. Being it was my first time here I didn't know wut to expect but the decor is nice and there was some nice holiday themed entertainment...live music and go go dancers. The music at first was a little off...a weird mash up of 80's and hip hop. As the night progressed the music improved and became increasingly more hip hop...which I liked. I had a great time here...probably because we got bottle service. Don't know if I would otherwise cuz it can get awfully crowded here. But all in all, a good experience!
