I really didn't like it at all, the pinto beans were too sweet, the green beans were over cooked, the pork ribs were dry, and the brisket was chewy. I would rather go to Franklins BBQ

Really pretty but small venue in an alleyway near Union Square. Went there on a Saturday night for a friend's birthday. Arrived at around 10:20pm and didn't have to wait too long in line (maybe 10 min max). We were on the guestlist so there was no cover fee, so don't forget to sign up if you want to check this place out! The drink prices are a bit steep ($10 per cocktail, not including tip), but they did offer $4 shots at the coat check! It was like a weird citrusy Jager flavored drink (no chaser), but only $4! Can't say no to that! They only played House music the night I went so I wasn't really feeling it. It got a bit crowded around 11:30pm but I was very impressed at how well ventilated it was. Unlike other clubs/lounges around the area, It didn't feel like a sweaty sauna. I would definitely go back to check this place out again if they decide to play hip hop music.

Bruno's was hot in 2001 when the Mission was the place to be. I recall coming here when it was a bit of a hip dive with white booths and live jazz music. I was recently here for drinks on a Saturday and was pleased by the remodel. The decor is a bit more sterile, but nice. There is a bar on one side, a center table with stools, and a wall with tables for dining until ten pm. I would say the service here is sub par, as is the design and flow of the bar. When we arrived at half past nine, we congregated around the fireplace waiting for drinks. We were approached by two waitresses who designated this area for dining until ten. Tip number one. A fireplace would serve a more useful purpose if surrounded by a lounge area. This would also make it more of a cozy cuddly date place. Tip number two, moving customers in an empty restaurant in the name of following rules is plain stupid. There is nothing I hate more than staff who cannot accommodate changes to the program. If the bar isn't crowded you may want to chill. The drink list and bar area were nice. Drink prices are very reasonable. I also like the old hip hop music they were playing. Half way through the evening one of the bartenders pulled a stool from under my friend who was sitting on it, to move the chairs to the center of the room. Again, what is wrong with this place? I am surprised that a low key jazz lounge is run like the Third Reich. It's a bar, not the military. I would give an additional star if the service were more accommodating and relaxed. Otherwise, a pretty decent bar.
