by Jayna F. on I pretty much avoid Old City like the plague, and I avoid Old City on a Saturday like something even plaguier. But damn, did I have an awesome time here last night. The bartenders were all really great, and it's a really neat space. And apparently this is where good looking single guys go to hang out, while it is also apparently where a lot of plain and or chunky and or skanky chicks hang, so I mean, if you are a lady who is none of these things and you like your drinks bought for you, I'd highly recommend. I'll be back, and I'd like to check out the happy hour and the food as well.
by Michael G. on I've only been here during happy hour on Sundays and while the first time was fine, the second time really irritated me because their so-called happy hour, which is advertised as running until 7 in Gloss (which they have ALL OVER their bar) and 8 on their website, ended at 6. The first bartender who tried to charge us full price at 6 gave us more change from the register after we said something. When it happened again with a different bartender at 6:45 I didn't even bother because obviously they are trying to run some kind of game there. At half price I can accept the poor drinks in tiny plastic cup containing almost no alcohol, but not at full price. Seeing as its a bar, where I am going for drinks, they only get 2 stars. The rest of the experience was fine.
by Melida Ruse on The co-workers and I came by here one day and I never knew this place existed before. We sat way to the left, against the wall. The place was half empty. Within 10 minutes the placed filled up like (SNAP!). I ordered their signature burger, not knowing what to expect. Nothing fancy, I just wanted to keep it simple. You know, the burger was moist, not dry, thick and meaty. They must use the fatty ground beef because it was so juicy. The fries were standard yet tasty. Service was a little slow. Only one server was working the whole place but she was doing her best. The prices were typically high, Westside Gourmet high but I expected that. I'd definitely come back again.
