Let's begin with a little story about a reservation made a couple of weeks ago. It was made, even confirmed but for some reason, they were closed that day for a "holiday party".....O_o??? UMMMMMM no notice? BOO and we were already right outside. So my friend tried to talk to them, and a nice lady named Jenny helped us out. Offered to comp our drinks the next time we came and we could make a reservation directly to her and she'd take care of it. On to the day of!, very very busy! Exactly how I pictured it and more, drunk people dancing and drinking. Awesome! We waited just a bit as people were clearing out for us, and we got a table in the back and that was nice because it was less crowded. The waiter was awesome, and the servce wasn't too slow. Semi timely refilling of mimosas and the food. The line to the bathroom was crazy and eventually actually clogged up! so we had to go next door to baraccuda, who was nice enough to let us. The brunch food wasn't really all that special...but good for you to nibble on. Think I'd want to come when they have real food. Overall, the atmosphere is great, people are nice (MOST), and its a really great place to catch up with friends.

Really 3.5 stars.... I've soured on shiner beers lately but they have em all as well as some other good ones like Firemans 4. Food is super awesome. They haves some wicked specials I recall. Atmosphere is really fun. Like the others say, it's upstairs and the entrance is almost hidden. Cool cowhide stools and funky texas type decorationson the walls. I've been several times during the week for happy hour and found it un-crowded and just a great place to meet friends. I recently went on the weekend to see a show and experience was still pretty good. Obviously more crowded, but not a obnoxious crowd....a little bit older maybe late twenties and early thirties I wish they had flights. It makes perfect sense for a place that serves so many shiner varieties. Solid score for the bartenders. I am, for whatever reason, the guy who stands patiently at an uncrowded bar waiting to be acknowedged and they were very attentive and helpful even the one time where it was crowded

WEDNESDAY IS THE NEW SATURDAY (Thursday's still Thursday), and boy am I suffering now at work. I'll definitely need to take a nap to re-energize for Kickball drinkathon today (Go Suck My Kick!). So last night I went to the Involver pre-launch party. Involver amazes me with how successfully it brings a great crowd together, they are amazing! (Take a break, goto http://involver.comand sign up for an account. Now! You won't be sorry). Onto the review, this is an amazing venue! I made a brief incursion into the same party as Nancy W. (Go Sharks!) but she's right it was super-crowded. Downstairs was a perfect mix of busy, but not to busy. The amazing things here are small details. Antler Chandeliers, a systematic shift between Black and White motifs from upstairs to down. The DJ didn't ruin the night, and played what I would call my favorite club song (Lovemakers remixing 50 cent, YEA!). I did do some key research for my soon forthcoming book, "Stand next to the photographer stupid!" Idea is cute girls like being photographed in clubs. You get a disproportionate amount of photos with cute girls, and instead of looking like a drunk donkey stole your 2MP Kodak to snap the pic, it looks like Ansel Adams was following you around all night because, hey, you're just that popular! That's basically all I got, but I plan on fleshing it out to 90 pages with silly reiterations, pointless add-ons, and the occasional small experiential insight (i.e. doesn't work as well when he's moving around a lot, definitely works better when your buddy knows to suggest putting you in the photo, "for composition"). Anyway the event was great and the club staff was friendly (one off-duty worker volunteered to give me a tour!) I'll definitely go back, it's a great trip! Thank you involver for a great invent, Specifically Matt, Rahmin, and Simon. Ya'll made this all possible, can't wait for the next one.
