by Michelle L. on = a bar that happens to serve delicious brunch/breakfast. Amazing ambiance-- completely unexpected, vibrant place to eat and get the party started early... REALLY early, or to keep it going way after you've left the club. The pounding tunes (a mix of classics and the newest trendiest hip hop/remixed songs) are all dance-worthy, and indeed many patrons outright started dancing and singing along, either in their booths, or while waiting for a table. As other reviewers have mentioned, the bottomless mimosas ($7 initially) are BOMB. Also my eggs florentine ($13) was perfect-- creamyyy eggs, sauce, and spinach over a buttery english muffin. The generous portion of roasted potatoes that came alongside on the otherwise small dish was garlicky and slightly spicy. Would definitely come back, but maybe because I miraculously didn't have to experience the hour-long wait (at 10:30 in the freakin' morning!!) because I arrived much later than the rest of my friends. But hey, this is supposed to be my personal experience, so... 5 stars!
by Fedor E. on Really 3.5 stars.... I've soured on shiner beers lately but they have em all as well as some other good ones like Firemans 4. Food is super awesome. They haves some wicked specials I recall. Atmosphere is really fun. Like the others say, it's upstairs and the entrance is almost hidden. Cool cowhide stools and funky texas type decorationson the walls. I've been several times during the week for happy hour and found it un-crowded and just a great place to meet friends. I recently went on the weekend to see a show and experience was still pretty good. Obviously more crowded, but not a obnoxious crowd....a little bit older maybe late twenties and early thirties I wish they had flights. It makes perfect sense for a place that serves so many shiner varieties. Solid score for the bartenders. I am, for whatever reason, the guy who stands patiently at an uncrowded bar waiting to be acknowedged and they were very attentive and helpful even the one time where it was crowded
by Thelma Vitorino on Yeah, it's cool design with lots of details... The requisite antler chandeliers. Glass smoking booth. Girl bartender uniforms are a little overkill. Whatever attracts the guys and tips! Electro smashups later on... good stuff! They seriously need to limit the number of people in there. It was sardine-packed. Not fun that full no matter how 'cool' the club is. ps Salt House is stoked to have it on its backside...
