I dined here with a few friends and the ambiance was nice.  The food we ordered was OK. kona kampachi carpaccio: Ponzu sauce was drizzled on top.  Fresh and good, but very small portion. Organic teriyaki chicken: a bit overcooked and sweet, but not terrible Braised short ribs:  falls right off the bone...very good. Salmon: smoked and it was alright. Kobe beef: smoked and had a very good flavor Brussels sprouts-tangy, buttery and fried.  YUM!  Liked it a lot. We also ordered some sushi rolls and nigiri but I had better. Overall, the service was good and if you're looking for a nice dining experience before watching a show or whichever, then it isn't a bad place to go.  However, overpriced for just OK food.  I personally wouldn't come back here again because the only food I would come back for are the Brussels sprouts and the drinks (saketini).  Unless one of my friends wanted to come, then I'll give it another try.

Some people mentioned that the lines were ridiculously long but when I went last Friday at 10:40 pm for the first time, I had no problem waiting. The place is spacious and I love the layout. The staff is nice and the bartenders are friendly too. The drinks here are a bit on the pricier side but they are delicious. I explored many of the cool cocktails on the menu... 1) The Mistress Nouveaux was light and tasty so it's great if you love champagne and and sweet drinks. 2) English Afterthought was great because of the fresh blueberries. This drink had special ingredients like ginger in it so I loved it. It is a bit stronger than the Mistress Nouveaux but it's still just as delicious. 3) Lemon Drops were nice and strong. They used real lemons, of course 4) Pomegranate martini was also great but it was lighter than the lemon drops. The drinks are strong and are definitely worth trying! As for the clientele, I would say that it's pretty mixed. The age group is 25-40 and every race can be found here. Diverse atmosphere so I really liked that too. I like this place because there's no dumb blonds here- not that kind of scene! Overall, come check this place out if you want to be able to carry on conversations in a hip place and have a nice drink to go with it.

As far as lounges go, I'd have to say that the Third Floor Cafe has a great blend of East Coast character and Korean culture. How is it East Coast?  Although New York's Koreatown may not be as large or as developed as Los Angeles', this lounge could stand up with some of the mega-bars in LA or even Seoul.  It's a little small, but appointed tastefully.  The staff is responsive, and you don't have to be Korean to enjoy the place (i.e. they speak English).  This isn't a nightclub, but there was a DJ spinning, and it's a great place to hang out with friends over a few drinks. How is it Korean?  First of all, this is on 5th/32nd, so it's right in Manhattan's K-town.  But you don't have to walk very far to grab some Korean food, since the kitchen is open late.  Also, the crowd (while mixed) definitely has a Korean flavor.  Much of the menu was very reasonably priced, although in true Korean fashion, the bottle service borders on insanity.  Still, you don't have to get a bottle to get a table, so you can have a cheap night out. I'd definitely return here for a leisurely evening with some friends, although anything more than 4-6 might get a little tough because of the limited space.
