by Amy P. on We got there and waited forever for service. FINALLY got our drinks. My girlfriend found a hair in her mixed drink and my expensive wine had food crumbs at the bottom inside the glass. If that wasn't enough we waited another 30 minutes for them to bring us fresh drinks. The food took about an hour an a half to come out (and we are both vegetarian so really no meat had to be cooked). Our waitress never once came over to ask how we were doing or to ask if we needed anything else. We waited and waited for her to bring us our check and finally had to go up and ask ourselves. We then waited by register for another 15 min for her to print out our check. It was not even a busy night (a Wed around 6pm) NEVER NEVER NEVER again. I've never had such terrible service ever. Dirty glassware. Gross. On a good note the food was good. Not amazing or anything special but it was pretty good.
by Jason W. on SUGA SUGA, dun dun dun dun dun dun, OOOOHH HUNNNY HUNNNY....okay you get the drift ... Sugar, was unfortunately not as upbeat and cool as the song mentioned. We attended a UCLA fraternity clubbing event here and other than sugar being an empty room with a few couches and chairs, there isnt much else. The drinks were priced accordingly to Hollywood standards, but were strong. There are 2 bars, the main being near the entrance and the other near the back room/smoking area. -1 star for shady old men being the only ones who had a table and bottle service perving on young asian women and -1 star for the bouncers and parking attendants trying to fight our group as we left the club attempting to get our car..
by Alicia Ellwood on I love the sheer camp of this venue. It's old school with kitschy naked mermaids on the walls, tuxes on the bartender. LOVE IT. I've seen Robin Williams here a few times testing material, Amie Mann for her Christmas concert. Ideally, you should get here early enough to get a table in front. It's just big enough that if you get stuck in the back you may have trouble seeing. BTW, there is a bathroom attendant so remember to tip.
