I definitely like this place. What I loved most about it is the service. I had a reservation and was meeting my cousin there. She was late, way late. But they worked with me to hold the reservation. The bartenders were conversational but efficient and even the manager made sure that everything was okay when he noticed us changing locations. The decor is really great. Somethings to consider that I didn't see mentioned in any of the recent reviews are 1) this is not a place to mingle and 2) reservations are mandatory. I didn't see any one there who wasn't with someone and I think there is something about the decor that makes this not a option. However, I was there on a Thursday from 9-11 so, it was probably a less social crowd. I say the reservations are mandatory because people get there and post up there for an extended amount of time so, if you arrive without a reservation, prepare to wait. I had empanadas and sweet potato fries. Pretty good, not great.

"COMPOUND YOUR NIGHTLIFE" -Billboard around the corner from the club Has anyone else noticed that the club itself has no Compound sign? I guess they don't need an introduction because the club is a hotspot! Compound is the Friday Night Staple (V-103 live remote) for me and my crew. I have been here more times than I can count. I love this place. Firstly, they have enough compassion for their patrons that they cover the lines with tents. And in the winter, they equip the tents with heat lamps...how sweet of them! No, seriously. Secondly, I strongly appreciate the fact that you do not have to resemble a can of sardines inside the club. People do not have to be all on top of each other (unless they want to =X) because there is so much room! Three (or four) different DJ's, various rooms/areas, ample space..what more could you want in a nightclub? Well, fun, of course...no worries, Compound certainly has that covered! Thirdly, for those who like to throw a few back, there are like 4 or 5 distinct bars (with 2 in "Ride" the most popular room), so there's never a problem with folks falling all over each other at one bar trying to beg the bartender to take your order. Fourthly, ladies, Compound has more than enough places to sit!!! If your feet get tired, you can sit in the big black chairs in "Tenshi" (at the front of the club) or perch yourself on the side of the building or rest in the seating in the "Ride Patio" between "MB1" (the first room) and "Ride" (the second room) (I didn't know they actually gave these rooms names!...visit http://compoundatl.comfor more info) Compound is also a great day spot too. When Tyler Perry was filming "Daddy's Little Girls," the extras were held here (I had a bad experience but that's another conversation) and I also worked a Dell promotion here a couple of weekends ago. It was during these day time visits, that I got a chance to see "The Loft," which is the exclusive exclusive VIP area. Complete with Cali King bed, flat screen TV, modern furniture and...dare I say it....a half-bath and SHOWER??? Yes, folks, the club has a real shower in it...I've seen it all! The VIP "Bamboo Room" inside of "Ride" is quite nice too...but "The Loft" just took the cake for me...lol. There have been a few times I've gone to Compound that I've been blessed enough to find free parking (or my friends knew someone that lives in the nearby condos and we parked in that structure -- but DON'T do it unless you know somebody...you could get booted), but any other time, finding parking is cumbersome and paying for parking is ridiculous. The last time I went I paid $10, which wasn't too bad, but some of those little attendants think someone is about to give them $20...not I! Other than that, Compound is the hotspot. Random celebrities are here all the time. Sign up on their e-mail list to get in free before 1130 and, as always, "Early arrival is strongly suggested."

Huge place, with fun atmosphere. I've seen some amazing shows here throughout the years.
