by p c. on I have been to this place a number of times and love it! The movie "Sex and The City" was filmed here. I love the short ribs and wasubi edanoyme(sp) dumplings are my favorite. The Drinks are great and would highly suggest this place. The best thing is that about this place is that they take large groups! They take upto 15ppl without a prefix menu.
by Edwin Wandell on The food is surprisingly not bad. I was expecting the worst, but was surprised. The dinner combo/special is probably the best way to go. The drinks aren't bad either. But are you really here for the food? Of course not. You're here to be entertained. And, most likely, entertained you will be. Though I must say some of the performers are much more entertaining than others. They all seem nice enough, only exuding their diva selves when on stage. It's a place to go to celebrate something and see the embarassment when they are called out in front of everyone or take tourists just to see the shock on their faces.
by Shane h. on I hate this place with the burning passion of 10,000 suns. I never go to Ruby Skye unless I'm dragged by my boyfriend, who loves the VIP section. Admittedly they do bring in good DJs that you can't see elsewhere - for example we saw Hernan Cattaneo last night - but the mere fact that I am actually in this club with such a scrum of bridge and tunnel trash always brings me down. It doesn't matter how much I drink - I just can't get past the bad, bad crowd here. Positives - beautiful space, great lighting and good sound system. Good lineup of big-name DJs like Ferry Corsten, Danny Tenaglia and Kaskade . Negatives - No place to sit unless you're in the VIP area, pushy security, bad crowd (San Jose and Vallego seem to transplant themselves to Ruby Skye every Friday and Saturday night), small bathrooms with no toilet tops on which to do your drugs, generally poor service & the fact that they refuse to turn on the air-conditioning so this club gets HOT, and not in a good way.
