I had no idea why my friends were leading me into the lobby of a seemingly closed building and then into a tiny elevator until those tiny elevator doors opened and I was greeted with music, nice decor, decent view of the street, and a pretty good looking after-work crowd. In the summer, it's always packed, and the music is pretty good..had dinner here once and was a happy camper..drinks (flavored soju and the big container of beer) and service is great..I like the fact that the windows are tinted so outside looking in, it's kind of a mystery for those who have no idea what the heck is going on on the 3rd floor of a seeminly closed office building.

By accident, a crew of lovely ladies and I were passing by Door 44 on a Saturday night. We didn't feel like paying cover charges (it was $10) but were graciously invited in by a wonderful and friendly staff. The place is very sexy...red lighting, black and red decor, go-go dancers, and a sexy VIP lounge area. The crowd is pretty good-looking too. Being a California native, I felt like I was in certain parts of L.A. or Orange County...thanks to the cute skater-looking boys and tatted up glam girls (probably just leaving their auditions for Rock of Love). I did almost get into my first fight in the ladies room with some girls that thought they owned the place...but since most people are all bark and no bite, I managed to have a great time and meet some very cool people. My advice to the girls: wear black, show cleavage, pile on the eyeliner and you'll be good to go. It's a fun place to live up the Hollywood glam :)

Ooh! My first 5-Star rating :o) Went here on a Sunday evening and it was GREAT. It wasn't too crowded, which allowed the sweet staff to give us their undivided attention. Something a little odd: They had a female burlesque dancer strip behind a sheet.. it was very sassy and, admittedly, intriguing. BUT, when the show was done, she ran out from behind the sheet and we all saw her ta-tas.. Should have just forgotten the sheet all together. OH, after that, she came back out fully clothed and hula-hooped. Which was very entertaining, but she had already stripped, so I kept expecting her to top that. Maybe she should have teased the crowd first and THEN showed us her goods. Call me old-fashioned, but someone should buy you a drink before getting to see you topless. The food was great.. 5-courses, already determined, so I don't have to make decisions?!?!? Perfect. Can't really tell you what each course was, because it took 4 hours (allow lots of time, friends!) and the bottle of wine went down so quickly.. Drink recommendation: The Blush.. has a champagne topper (my favorite) and only $8.. Ooh! Make sure your toes are pretty, because everyone will be looking at your feet. If you didn't inherit your father's knees, like I did, you could even wear a skirt and look hot reclining on the glorious soft beds/pillows.
