I know it's totally creepy, but I fantasize about those sweet potato fries and aioli. Like a bathtub made out of sweet potato fries and filled up with aioli. Or a sweet potato fries swimsuit in a swimming pool of aioli. You get the point. I'm not proud of it. Especially because adding $6 fries to my $9 veggie panini is not a frugal choice. But there is no way I can go to Delux and not get those goddamn fries! The kitchen is open late 7 days a week. It's wonderful. I can get my fix at 1:30am on a Sunday, even! If You show up near typical dinner time, though, prepare to wait. Try not to stare too hungrily at all the patio diners stuffing their faces with burgers and beer. The service is usually decent and the food is yummy. But all the bread and cheese and, yes, sweet potato fries, make me feel a little regretful and terribly sleepy afterward.

Security made me completely empty my pockets. Confiscated my pen. Not a special, Inspector Gadget/Maxwell Smart pen, just a blue retractable pen left in my pocket. Makes me wonder if this club has a shanking problem.

I've passed this club walking home from the gym from time to time ( yes I DO go! Shut up!) and always thought it looked like a complete hole in the wall and why would I ever want to bother? How looks can be deceiving! Well especially when there are no windows to look into in order to get a better feel. I went to this place on Saturday to see Bayonics, which by the way generally rock but their songs are CRAZY long and they don't look like they are having a good time on stage so it turns what could be an amazing band in to an average one. So sad because the latin/hip hop fusion thing they got going on is awesome. But I digress. So I went and find that I need to reevalute my tolerance for alcohol. Or maybe need to reevaluate the quality of drinks that are served in my hometown as I distinctly remember going out at club, drinking 5 vodka drinks in the space of a night and cursing the fact that I took a cab because I was easily sober enough to drive home. Well after Saturday night I can happily (but hungoverly) report that they don't water down their vodka. Plus it's the only place I've been to where a vod and Diet Coke actually tastes good. I don't know how they managed it but they have. Whoop! As for the rest, it's a comfortable space, good dance floor and an overall enjoyable time. I wish the clubs that played poppy hip hop music where this cool, I'd have alot better time going out.
