Two words... major sausage... Wow I hadn't been to 111 Minna to party in years and I was shocked at how many dudes there were there. I'm a girl so I know it works in my favor but good lord this was too much, even for me. I was speculating with a friend that it was a 30/70% ratio or girls to guys and I think by the time we left it was closer to 20/80%. I don't know if it's the promoter's fault because they didn't not bring the girls to the party or if this is representative of how it normally is on friday night. I don't really know. Looking at the other reviews it seems like some of their other parties might be fun and I've heard their 80's party are a good time through word of mouth so I was shocked at how bad it was when I came. Maybe it was a off night... on a different note... The music was really good though. They had a live band in one area and a DJ in the other and they were both good. My friend encountered a really A-hole of a bartender though. She had ordered like 5 drinks and than asked if she could order 2 more and he was like no. wtf? Don't they want businessand more tips? That's just ridiculous to me. What bartender does that?

i hate mega clubs but this place was great. make sure to get set up with a table in the vip section to avoid the trashy tourists and all. long line but basically no wait for us because the bouncers pick people out of the line if you dress right etc. i.e. look the part to skip the line. once inside i had as much veuve clicquot as my little heart desired. you are allowed to smoke cigarettes inside. along with some questionable stuff i saw at some of the other tables. that's miami for you.

I was prepared to deal with an assortment of asshats, chodes, schmucks, hipsters, knobs, noobs, marina girls, bluetooth earpiece wearing financial analysts, jagoffs, bottom feeders, elite Rateclubers, ex-girlfriends and wankers at the BubLo, but really everyone was pretty decent. I spent Saturday night at the Bubble Lounge. I really wanted and expected to hate it. I spent the whole day dreading, but for my little sister's birthday, I had to go. Granted, I was all dolled up in my best Marina cammo, complete with shiny shoes, and surrounded by pretty girls (happy birthday Caitlin!), but the door guy was friendly, the bartenders were decent, despite effing up my first order, and the crowd was festive yet lacking tension. The music was engaging, the dance floor not too crowded, but far from empty, and everyone seemed to be having fun. Even the smokers, crammed into the tiny patio cage seemed good-natured, despite being piled on top of each other. The interior, like the patrons, was easy on the eyes, but finding a place to sit without a reservation wasn't possible. Considering the price of drinks and location, I'm not likely to go back often, but I wouldn't rule it out. It's not my usual sort of spot, and I'm not so likely to run into people I know, but next time I want a drastic change of scenery, you might just see me back at the Bubble.
